Data Collection
We don't collect your personal data beyond what's necessary to roast you. Your resume content is processed by AI and then promptly forgotten (unlike your embarrassing gap year).
File Security
Resumes are transmitted securely and never stored on our servers permanently. We value your privacy as much as you value a good font choice.
AI Processing
We use third-party AI models to generate feedback. They see your resume, they judge it, they move on. No data is used for training without your explicit consent.
Contact Info
If you sign up, we store your email to manage your roasts. We won't sell it to recruiters (they're already judging you for free).
Data Retention
Resume text submitted for analysis is processed in real-time and not retained on our servers after the analysis completes. If you have an account, your roast scores, grades, and AI-generated feedback are stored in your profile for your own reference and can be deleted at any time from your dashboard. We retain account email addresses for as long as your account is active.
What Happens to Your Resume
When you upload a PDF, text is extracted in your browser and transmitted to our API over HTTPS. That text is passed to an AI model (OpenAI GPT) for analysis, then discarded. The AI provider's data handling policies apply during processing — we do not use your resume content for model training and you can review OpenAI's API data policy at openai.com/policies. No resume file is ever written to permanent storage by ResuméRoast.
